So I am sharing something a little different on the blog today, no makeup or recipe here today, but still something that is a part of my everyday life. I love listening to podcasts, and usually listen to at least one a day. Whether it’s news, entertainment, or blogging specific, I find podcasts very easy to listen to while accomplishing otherwise mundane tasks (i.e. laundry, dishes, etc.). Continue reading below to find out what some of my favorite ones are!

The Daily is a Monday-Friday podcast that is put out by the New York Times. It’s about twenty minutes long, and provides a great summary of the previous days news. I love listening to this podcast either first thing in the morning to get a good recap of the news and what to expect today, or to catch up later in the day. Either way it’s succinct and relatively unbiased.

Goal Digger is a podcast from Jenna Kutcher, who is a wedding photographer, blogger, and social media mastermind. This podcast covers marketing, social media, branding, and a whole slew of other topics. Jenna Kutcher presents things in a fun and very realistic way, and I find myself constantly inspired after listening to her. Some of the episodes aren’t very relevant for me, but plenty are, and if I find myself in a creative rut or need some blogging help, then I turn to the Goal Digger podcast.

Call me a west coast liberal, but I love Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! I can’t always catch this hilarious news show when it airs on NPR, but thankfully they release it in podcast form so I can listen whenever I want. Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! never fails to put a smile on my face, and I love trying my hand at the news quizzes and limerick challenges.

Masters of Scale is a relatively new podcast from Reid Hoffman, an early member of the PayPal team, and cofounder of LinkedIn. While I am by no means an entrepreneur, or have any interest in tech or Silicon Valley, this podcast is fascinating. With guest speakers like Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg, each episode covers different aspects of the world of tech and startups. If you are ever interested in how companies like Airbnb and Netflix grow and scale themselves, then you won’t be disappointed with this podcast.

S Town is produced from the same team as Serial and This American Life, and is a study on one individual and small town in Alabama. This podcast is a fascinating look into the life a very eccentric individual, and the issues that surround the small town he hates and the people who reside there. I can’t say I recommend this to everyone, and I even think it was a bit drawn out, but still interesting nevertheless. If you haven’t listened to Serial yet, then I really recommend checking that podcast out over this one.
